D Unit is for those students who are willing to migrate from their group to another one. For example, science students can migrate to business studies and humanities group. Students of humanities can get admitted in Math and Statistics and all departments of business studies. Business studies students can get admitted to all departments of business studies and humanities except they can not get admitted in Math and Statistics. So it is a great advantage for students to be able to change their group if they really want.
Dhaka University Will Hold Divisional Examination.
Due to the COVID crisis, Dhaka University Admission Examination Committee has decided to hold a divisional exam, That means every examinee will sit for the exam in their own hometown or the district they live in, or the district they choose to give the exam. The total evaluation marks are said to be 100 and 20 marks will be for SSC & HSC result. This decision is valid for only the students of the 2020-2021 academic session. - In the MCQ exam minimum marks to be attained is-
1. Bangla / Advanced English- 6 marks
2. English- 6 marks
3.General knowledge- 12 marks.
and a total of 30 marks must be obtained to qualify for the exam. - In the written test minimum total of 12 marks must be obtained.

- For the Science group, the sum of total GPA of SSC & HSC (with optional/4th subject) must be 8.0

The Department of Commerce was established under the Faculty of Arts of the University of Dhaka in the year 1921. This Department emerged as an independent Faculty in 1970 with only two Departments the Department of Management Studies and the Department of Accounting Information System in 1970. The Department of Marketing and the Department of Finance was created in 1974. The 4-year BBA Program was introduced in place of the 3-year B.Com. (Hons) Program There are two Academic Bhabans, one Administrative Building, and one Auditorium Bhaban in the Faculty. Dhaka University opened its doors to the students on the 1st July 1921 with only three faculties, namely the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, and the Faculty of Law. New Departments have been established with an increase in the number of students. The department of Mathematics was established in 1921 and Statistics in 1950.
